Connie Brannock is a Tucson vocalist, songwriter, bandleader, percussionist, and longtime performer whose music pulls from R&B, soul, funk, blues, jazz, rock, and Americana.

Known for her high-energy stage presence and ability to connect with a crowd, Connie performs in a variety of configurations, from intimate duos and trios to full-band performances with Little House of Funk, her Tucson-based soul, blues, jazz, and funk ensemble.

Connie’s musical roots stretch back to her teenage years on the East Coast, where she first began singing rock ’n’ roll in a garage band after originally setting her sights on becoming a drummer. Trombone came first, singing followed, and music eventually took her through performances around the Mid-Atlantic and western United States.

After stepping away from performing for many years while serving in the military and working in education, Connie returned to music in Tucson around 2009. Since then, she has become a familiar presence in Southern Arizona’s music community, collaborating with a wide range of musicians and moving easily between rock, blues, funk, jazz, acoustic, and original material.

Her recorded work includes Lady on the Bus, Snorts and Rattles, and Desert Bebop, an acoustic jazz and blues collection inspired in part by Tucson and the Sonoran Desert. Her projects frequently bring together musicians, visual artists, producers, and collaborators from across Tucson’s creative community.

Connie is also the bandleader of Little House of Funk, a flexible ensemble that can range from a small, intimate lineup to a full party band. At the heart of every configuration is the same goal: connect with the audience, share the joy of live music, and keep people moving.
