Klezmer is essentially the 'soul music' of Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe. It’s actually a combination of two Hebrew words: Kley, which is a vessel or instrument, and Zemer, or song. So, the musicians aren't just performers; they are the "vessels of song." It’s a mix of everything—from spiritual, wordless prayers and soulful, melodies, to high-energy dance music, like the famous hit Hava Nagila and a circle dance like the Hora.

What is a Merkaba? The Hebrew word means "Chariot" and in Jewish mysticism, it’s the "Chariot of God" that connects the divine to our world.

So Klezmerkaba is a blend of Klezmer, the "vessel of song", and Merkaba, the "divine chariot." It describes the belief that music isn't just entertainment. It is fuel for the spirit.
