There’s a lot of Tucson music packed into this week, from Americana and blues to rock, metal, bluegrass, salsa, and a special album release celebration. We’re giving a little extra love, as always, to the local musicians who keep their Tucson Local Bands profiles and calendars connected — but there are plenty of other shows worth checking out too.
Friday: Americana, Rock, and Local Favorites

Friday starts strong with several Tucson Local Bands artists around town. Paul Opocensky brings his Acoustic Grunge Americana to Forty Niner Country Club, while Barnaby and the Butcher head into the dark recesses of The Jackrabbit Lounge with their Alt Country and Americana sound. Xplosion will be at The Outlaw Bar and Grill, and Loveapalooza at 191 Toole includes Znora among its lineup. Add Baba Marimba, Xception, and Connie Brannock, and Friday gives you plenty of directions to go.

Up on Mount Lemmon, Paul Opocensky plays Sawmill Run Restaurant, and Bare Bones brings guitar-driven blues back to Big Bad Wolf. You can also find metal in Bisbee, classic Tucson blues at Monterey Court, and pop/rock covers at Westward Look.
