We’re thrilled to share that Tucson Local Bands was recently featured on KGUN9 News in a story about how this project has helped reconnect musicians and fans since the pandemic. What started as a way to share livestreams and virtual tip jars during lockdown has grown into a community-powered calendar of shows, directories of bands and venues, and a central hub for Tucson’s live music scene.
The KGUN9 piece shares how Tucson Local Bands began in April 2020 when stages went dark and venues closed; nearly six years later, the calendar now highlights more than 80 bands performing across 30+ venues throughout Tucson and the surrounding area.
We’re so grateful to the Tucson music community — the musicians, venues, fans, and contributors — who make this project what it is. Thanks to your support, live music in Tucson is thriving again.
Keep the music playing — check the calendar for upcoming shows!👇
