Thank you for supporting Tucson’s local music community! These terms explain how sponsorships work, what is included, and what to expect when advertising with Tucson Local Bands.

Sponsorship opportunities are open to businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to support local music. Throughout these terms, references to a business logo also include personalized name recognition for individual sponsors. Individuals may choose how their name or sponsor recognition is displayed, subject to approval by Tucson Local Bands.

1. Sponsorship Opportunities

Tucson Local Bands offers several paid advertising opportunities for local businesses, organizations, bands, music venues, and individual supporters.

Website Sponsorships

Community Sponsor — $50/month

Includes rotating advertisements throughout eligible articles and content on TucsonLocalBands.com.

Featured Sponsor — $125/month

Includes all Community Sponsor benefits, plus additional advertising placements throughout the website, including band and venue directories and Weekly Roundup articles published on TucsonLocalBands.com.

Premier Sponsor — $350/month

Includes all Featured Sponsor benefits, plus prominent recognition on the Tucson Local Bands homepage and live music calendar, and logo recognition in the website footer when suitable artwork is provided.

Premier sponsors also receive double the advertising rotation weight of Community and Featured sponsors in the general rotating advertisement system. This provides increased opportunities for their advertisements to appear but does not guarantee a specific number of impressions.

Additional Sponsorship Opportunities

Calendar Supporter — $30/month

Includes a business logo or personalized name recognition displayed in the calendar supporter section of the Tucson Local Bands live music calendar.

Newsletter Sponsor — $450 for three months

Includes a dedicated advertising placement in the Tucson Local Bands email newsletter during the three-month sponsorship period.

Desert Sound Check Sponsor — $250 per episode

Includes sponsor recognition within a designated Desert Sound Check episode and associated promotional content, including social media promotion. Multi-episode sponsorship opportunities may also be available.

2. Advertising Placement & Visibility

Advertisements are displayed in designated locations according to the sponsorship package purchased.

Rotating advertisements share available advertising space with other eligible sponsors. Display frequency depends on the number of active advertisements, their assigned rotation weights, and website traffic.

Tucson Local Bands does not guarantee a specific number of impressions, clicks, leads, sales, or other advertising results.

Website sponsorships do not include social media promotion, newsletter advertising, or Desert Sound Check mentions unless separately purchased or expressly agreed upon.

In particular, advertising within Weekly Roundup articles refers to the articles published on TucsonLocalBands.com, not the associated social media posts or email newsletters.

3. Sponsorship Duration & Payment

Website and calendar sponsorships are available on a monthly basis, with no minimum commitment beyond one month. Sponsors may purchase one month, several months, or a full year.

Newsletter sponsorships require a three-month commitment, paid in advance.

Desert Sound Check sponsorships are purchased per episode, with episode placement confirmed by Tucson Local Bands.

All sponsorships are paid in advance. Sponsorships run for the purchased period and expire at the end of that period unless renewed.

Sponsorships do not renew automatically. Sponsors who wish to continue advertising may arrange and pay for additional sponsorship periods.

4. Artwork & Advertising Materials

Sponsors are responsible for providing their advertising materials in the requested formats.

Artwork requirements vary by sponsorship type:

• Website Sponsors: A 400 × 300-pixel advertisement and a destination URL.
• Premier Sponsors: A 400 × 300-pixel advertisement, destination URL, and a suitable logo or nameplate for additional recognition.
• Calendar Supporters: Business logo or personalized sponsor name, with an optional destination URL.
• Newsletter Sponsors: Business logo or sponsor name, advertising description, and destination URL.
• Desert Sound Check Sponsors: Business logo or sponsor name and information for episode recognition.

Tucson Local Bands will provide artwork specifications as needed.

Custom advertising artwork is available for an additional one-time fee of $350, which includes one round of revisions. Additional design work, if requested, may be quoted separately.

Sponsors must have permission to use all images, logos, trademarks, and other materials submitted for advertising.

By submitting artwork, sponsors authorize Tucson Local Bands to display those materials as part of their purchased sponsorship.

Website sponsorships are typically published within one business day after payment and completed, approved artwork have been received.

The sponsorship period begins on the date your advertisement is first published. Each month of sponsorship runs for one calendar month from that date. For example, if your advertisement begins displaying on October 15, a one-month sponsorship will remain active through the end of November 15.

Newsletter advertising is scheduled according to the publication schedule, and Desert Sound Check sponsorships are assigned to agreed-upon episodes.

Website advertising is subject to normal website operations, including scheduled maintenance, temporary outages, technical issues, and other interruptions. Continuous availability or uninterrupted display is not guaranteed.

6. Band & Venue Sponsorships

Bands and music venues are welcome to purchase sponsorships just like any other local business.

However, sponsorship does not provide additional directory features, preferential directory placement, special event promotion, or advantages over other bands and venues.

Band and venue directory listings are always free, regardless of sponsorship status.

Tucson Local Bands is committed to providing equal visibility and opportunities to participate in our music community.

7. Advertising Content & Approval

Tucson Local Bands reserves the right to review, request changes to, or decline advertising that is misleading, unlawful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate for our audience.

Political advertising is not permitted. Tucson Local Bands is a community-focused music platform, and we do not accept advertisements promoting or opposing political candidates, parties, campaigns, or ballot measures, regardless of political affiliation.

Sponsors are responsible for the accuracy of their advertisements, the products and services they promote, and the content of their linked websites.

Tucson Local Bands may make reasonable adjustments to the display size or presentation of submitted artwork to accommodate different devices and website layouts.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

All sponsorship payments are final and nonrefundable.

Sponsors may request that their advertisements or sponsor recognition be removed before the end of their purchased sponsorship period. Early removal does not entitle the sponsor to a full or partial refund.

Unused sponsorship time may be transferred to another sponsor, provided new advertising artwork is supplied and approved by Tucson Local Bands. The new sponsor will receive only the remaining time on the original sponsorship. Unused time cannot be carried forward to a future sponsorship period.

Sponsorships expire automatically at the end of the purchased period unless manually renewed.

9. About Tucson Local Bands

Tucson Local Bands is an independently operated local music platform, not a nonprofit organization.

Sponsorship revenue helps cover website hosting, maintenance, technology, content production, weekly event roundups, Desert Sound Check production, and the many hours required to keep our community resources available.

Sponsorships are paid advertising services and are not tax-deductible charitable donations.
